Study Island Grades 3&4 Winners

Back in November of last year we started doing work on Study Island to help prepare the students for the Profiency tests in April. We had a little contest with each grade in both areas of high percents and number of problems solved in order to get a sticker for that week. These were the results on April 11, 2008:

Good Web sites for K-4th grade

I was able to find a really good web site for all grades. Check this out......... This has math, spelling, reading, counting, clocks, and more for each grade level.

Keyboarding

We found a really great web site that has good keyboarding practice on it. I tried it with the 3rd graders this week and they all loved it. It's a United Kingdom site with lots of visual and graphic effects to keep the kids entertained as well as help with finger positioning. We will be doing this for at least a couple of weeks.
